Haruko’s journey: the legacy of the bow

High in the north of Vren lies the Baincier Woods, and deep within those woods you will find a beautiful glade, the Fair Glade, home to a humble collection of crofts that make up a small village.

I am Haruko, and one dreadful night, my world was shattered. From the dense darkness of the woods, we were attacked by a large roving pack of dire wolves. As their howls echoed through the trees, my brother Kiru grabbed our family’s bow and rushed to defend the village. After a brutal and bloody skirmish, the wolves were repelled and the village saved. We found Kiru dead in the long grass, the bow broken and cracked, sticking out from the mangled body of a large white dire wolf.

In honor of my brother, I took up his trades of archery, woodcraft, and an understanding of the land. I learned carpentry from Famkur to aid our croft in building for the future, and the ranger’s craft from Nori, a seasoned elder and wise friend, to protect our village should we be attacked again.

Now, I walk my own path. I must rebuild our family’s bow and restore that which was taken from us, taken from me.
